MATH CLASSES

Math Quest - 1st-3rd grades - Judy Doyle

Math Quest:  1st–3rd grades

Requirements:  Knowledge of basic number skills along with basic addition & subtraction skills using manipulatives.  Out of class time is about 30 minutes per week needed for occasional simple homework.

NOTE:  This class does NOT replace math instruction at home.  This class is not a comprehensive math class and will not fully teach math skills necessary for 1st – 3rd grade math.  All homework assigned is not meant to challenge students, but rather is simplified from the math lesson that day to remove any extra work for parents at home and to promote responsibility on the part of the student.

Math Quest is an exciting hands-on math enrichment class designed to allow children to think past basic math skills and promote critical thinking skills related to mathematics.  Activities in this class are designed to help students experience the “why” in mathematics through math games, exploration, reasoning, and challenges.  Each lesson is planned to allow each child to explore math at their individual level.

Math skills will consist of the following:

Attributes, Patterns, Measurement & Comparison, Fractions, Coordinates, Probability, Data & Graphs, Money, Place Value, and MORE!

Tuition:  $500 for the year, split into 10 payments of $50 (due July 2026-April 2027).  A nonrefundable supply fee of $25 is due in July.  There will be no refunds given after July 1st.

 Payment Options:

  1. Write 10 post-dated checks to be cashed each month (July 2026-April 2027)
  2. Pay by semester (275 due July 1, 2026 and $250 due December 1, 2026)
  3. Pay the entire year ($525)
