Homework: Weekly homework will consist of 1-3 creative worksheets (maps, researching, and journaling) and one country presentation per semester. While not graded, all homework will be reviewed for comprehension.
Tuition and Payment Information
A supply list will be available in July. There will be a $30.00 supply fee for miscellaneous classroom supplies and printing of classroom paperwork. Classes will be $55.00 per month for ten months.
To register, please fill out the Training Center registration form and mail it along with your $85.00 ($55 for July + supply fee) payment dated July 1 (first tuition payment) and Aug. 1 payment. Once these items have been received, this will hold your child’s spot in the class.
The ONLY payment options for this class:
- Write 10 post-dated checks to be cashed at the first of the month (July 1 – April 1)
- Pay for the entire year.

Curriculum: The Texas God Created, Student Text (Third Edition) By: Dana Buckley
* This curriculum is only available at The Homeschool Store. When I purchased my book, the cost was $32.00.
Required Time Outside Class: Approximately two to three hours each week.
The Texas God Created shows the Providence of God throughout Texas History. As we study this text, students will find that many of the Texas founding fathers were Christians. We will cover many exciting topics as we journey through this curriculum together. The topics include: The Geography of Texas, The Earliest Texas Residents, Spanish Texas, Americans Come to Texas, March to Revolution, and From
Independence to the 21st Century. Students will also gain a better understanding of how to use geographic tools.
Our class time will be spent reviewing reading materials using PowerPoint presentations, watching videos, playing trivia games to help students retain information, reading, highlighting, and discussing the vocabulary and text in depth. Students will also participate in a variety of hands-on enrichment activities, research topics, and projects in order to make Texas History come to life.
Cost of Class: Tuition for this class is $600 per year, plus a $40 supply/copy fee.
The supply fee is due with the July payment. Parents are also responsible for purchasing the textbook, 1.5-inch 3-ring binder, 5 dividers, a black sharpie, and map pencils.
Payment Options:
1. Write 10 post-dated checks to be cashed on the first of each month (July 1, 2026-April 1, 2027). Each check should be $60 except for July. July would be $100, as it includes the yearly supply fee.

World History – Grades 7th–8th - Heidi Webb (offered 2026-27)
Class Description:
This class will provide students with a sparked curiosity about the fascinating cultures of our magnificent world! We will be exploring ancient cultures & civilizations throughout history to the present time. There will be class lectures with PowerPoints and videos for visual learning. In-depth class discussions, as well as reading and highlighting of the textbook material, and in-class notetaking will also be utilized. Some lessons may include hands-on enrichment activities. We will also be studying maps and looking at different regions and countries of the world. There will be a couple of projects throughout the year, a research report, and an end-of-the-year Living History/Wax Museum Student Presentation. Quizzes and tests will be given periodically. Some will be done in class, while others may be done online on the Google Classroom platform. This class requires weekly chapter/chapter section(s) reading of the textbook at home.
Class Time:
This class is 1 hour and 15 minutes per week. The expected time outside of class each week needed for preparation, daily reading, and homework assignments is about 3 hours.
This class is offered on both days. You can sign up for Mondays at Gracepoint or Tuesdays at Hope Church.

Class Description:
This course will explore the story of our nation’s history. Emphasis will be placed on the forces, events, issues, and people that have shaped our nation from pre-Columbus days to our current society. There will also be instruction on the role various Presidencies have played in forming our American History. We will also be looking at different regions of the United States and learning the location of each state in that region. Quizzes and tests are given both in class and on the online platform, Google Classroom. Research reports, class projects, and class presentations are also required of the student.

Overview: Geography is a high school-level course. Students will be expected to write 2-5 paragraph essays and give oral presentations. It is a foundational class that helps students form a mental map of the world.
Beginning in North America, students will “travel” from continent to continent around the world studying the geography, culture, landforms, climates, resources, economy, religions, and government of each country.
We will also learn about unreached people groups. Students will need access to the internet to complete some assignments.
Expected time outside of class each week: 3-4 hours.
Tuition is $60 per month (July through April) with a one-time $35 supply/printing fee due in July. Tuition is $600 for the year. This can be split into 10 post-dated payments of $60 each (due July 1, 2026– April 1, 2027). The July payment should include the $35 supply fee.
